Software Engineer Researcher — Internship
Hybrid — partial attendance at 49B, Abbas El Akkad Street, first floor
A practical research internship in AI, machine learning and LLMs: read papers, build prototypes, design reproducible benchmarks and analyse results.
Required skills and experience
- Strong AI, machine learning and Python knowledge, with practical deep learning experience using a framework such as PyTorch.
- Understand LLMs, deep learning and model evaluation; read research papers and implement experiments.
- Benchmark design: test datasets, metrics, baselines and model comparisons; prevent train/test data leakage.
- Reproducible experiments, configuration and version tracking, error analysis, limitations, latency and resource measurements.
- Git and GitHub proficiency and projects or experiments you built yourself; include evidence in your CV or GitHub.
- Mandatory: completed or currently enrolled in a relevant master’s degree, such as computer science, AI or machine learning.
Work arrangement and terms
- Six-month hybrid internship.
- Unpaid. Financial incentives may be offered during the internship in connection with client projects and requests; they are not guaranteed.
- Performance will be evaluated at the end for possible placement at a suitable level, subject to company needs. Employment is not guaranteed.
